godly play
Godly Play is a hands-on experience where children get to interact with the whole Bible while following the season's of the church calendar. It is very low-tech but very meaningful. You will be shocked by how much your children will learn.
Godly Play is for children 3yrs - 2nd Grad and children are dismissed from 2nd service.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School for our children is taught by some of the best people on the planet. Each class uses materials that are age appropriate and focuses their attention on God's word and the whole narrative of scripture. We create a safe environment for kids to be loved and grow.
Sunday school begins at 9:15am and ends at 10:20am.
connect kids
Connect Kids meets during Connect, from 6:00pm - 7:30pm each Sunday. Children have gatherings in two groups, 3yrs old - 1st grade and 2nd grade - 5th grade.
Connect is a very hands-on, developmentally appropriate approach, to teaching children about God, how they can interact with God, and how God gives us the church to grow to be like Jesus.
vacation bible school
For 1 week each summer, Emmanuel offers a Vacation Bible School program for the Riverbend area. This week is full of skits, crafts, recreation, great music and creative Bible teaching. These kids have so much fun it's amazing to watch!
camps & retreats
Emmanuel participates in an amazing summer camp experience for children K - 6th grade typically during the month of June.
Camps range from 3 days to 1 week and are based on outdoor recreation, fun, worship and building life-long friendships!
All our camps are at Durley Camp and Retreat Center in Greenville Il., overlooking Governor Bond Lake. It's Awesome!!
check-ins
Families at Emmanuel check-in at one of 2 check-in stations prior to going to any of the children activities. Simply enter the last 4 digits of your cell phone number. A name tag and pick up slip will be printed. Put the name tag on your child and keep the pick up slip for pick up.
If you are not in our system, fill out the yellow piece of paper at the check-in station and turn it back in when your pick up you child.
