YOUTH
YOUTH GROUP
Youth Group meets during Connect, from 6:00pm - 7:30pm each Sunday. High School and Middle School (6th grade - 8th grade) meet separately but we do our "outside the church" stuff together.
We strive to provide a safe and friendly environment where they can be equipped to follow Christ, find Christian friends, and be loved and accepted. We believe that teens can do great things for God, and we have seen Him work in the lives of our teens in wonderful ways.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School is an excellent way to grow in your walk with Christ. High Schooler and Middle Schoolers deal with different issues and have different questions, which is why we offer a separate class for both. We dive into God's Word, try to apply it to our life, and build relationships with other Christians.
Sunday school begins at 9:15am and ends at 10:20am.
BIBLE QUIZZING
Every Sunday afternoon September through June (4:00-5:30). Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join this great ministry, which combines learning Scripture with competition and fellowship. Each year, participants study parts of the Bible and participate in monthly tournaments with youth from other Free Methodist churches. The year is highlighted by Bible Quizzing Finals, a week-long event held the end of June at a Free Methodist college, where national champions are crowned.
camps & retreats
Emmanuel participates in an amazing summer camp experience for Middle School and two weekend retreats for High School students.
Middle School students can choose between to different weeks of camp, one in June and the other in July, while High School students have Senior Teen Weekend (Labor Day weekend) and Frost Bite (in February.
All our camps are at Durley Camp and Retreat Center in Greenville Il., overlooking Governor Bond Lake. It's Awesome!!
